Why can’t our children read or spell? This makes them unable to learn. Does that mean our children are stupid? The answer is no. Our children may be suffering from LD: LD or Learning Disorders refers to learning disabilities that manifest in the form of problems with reading, writing, spelling, calculating, and mathematical reasoning. Children with learning disabilities have brain circuits that do not function as they should. Some brain cells are in the wrong places, causing problems in learning, being weak in some subjects or many subjects. So what causes learning disabilities? Is there a cure?

What causes learning disabilities?

How can you tell if your child has a learning disability?

Importantly, parents or guardians must observe their children’s development. Although children with Learning Disorders do not show clear symptoms, they will start to be found and noticed since kindergarten from the following prominent characteristics: slow speech, confusion in direction, unclear speech, problems with language use, inability to speak, explain or tell anything, incoherent sentences. Meanwhile, teachers and schools should create individual learning plans that are consistent with each child’s level of disability by making teachers understand the child’s problems and disabilities, focusing on supplementary teaching in the skills that are lacking, such as spelling, reading, and writing, teaching in small groups or one-on-one for 30-45 minutes at a time, 4-5 days a week, helping to read lessons to children.

So that they can learn the content faster, giving more time for exams so that children have enough time to read questions and write answers will help children study better, and promoting other skills that children are interested in, such as music, sports, and art, so that children are proud of themselves.
